The
research part of my thesis is about the city of Newark in the 70's. Newark is
my hometown.
It is a low income area and
in the seventies the challenges were more massive. Many people
were migrating from the South and
there were not many job opportunities. As a child growing
up in Newark I can relate to
the challenges and unexpected insecurities. I wanted to share
perseverance resolutions for anyone
who may consider giving up on themselves.
or needs some guidance.
Three things I want to do with my
thesis:
* Influence a child to
achieve a creative mindset.
* Inspire a child to persevere through
challenging situations
* Advise a child to thrive
for higher education
My plans with my thesis:
* To present it as a
requirement for my Masters Degree.
* To remind myself of my
thoughts and research of my hometown.
* To incorporate it in my
legacy
Improvements I can consider making:
* Consider changing some of
the vocabulary
* Consider adding more
descriptive of the character and their families
* Consider including a
dedication page
* Consider publishing
I researched the City of Newark,
read and reread some books regarding low income area and African
American artists. I also created a
proposal incorporating my research with my manuscript. I am not
prepared to publish my manuscript.
I have considered waiting until I become inspired with the desire
to publicly promote my fiction
books. When I can appreciate the book signing and approach the
lectures with enthusiasm. Presently
I want to focus on earning my Masters Degree and fully
comprehend the changes being made
at my job
